“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” – Psalm 147:3
The mission of the counseling center is to provide counseling that is clinically excellent and lines up with the Word of God. We believe that God is always up to forming Christ in us no matter what we are going through. It is our mission, in light of Isaiah 42, to provide a place where people can be restored spiritually, mentally and emotionally. We strive to seek God about what He is up to in the heart of each client that comes through our doors. Our counselors regularly consult with each other, share our own lives and pray together.
We believe that good Christian Counseling is disciple making. We see people through the grid of the Word – made in the image of God – living in a fallen world. We believe that with the exception of chemical imbalance, most of our anxiety and relational problems stem from our belief system – what meaning we have applied to situations in our lives that keep us in bondage because they are not true – don’t line up with what God says.
We don’t believe that any counseling tool can be used separately from our story and what God might be up to in changing our hearts.
All counselors are Masters level counselors and are licensed or working toward licensure in the State of Colorado. Each is in private practice and set their own fees and appointments.

Cheryl’s story-oriented approach to counseling empowers her clients to become intentional cowriters of their selves and futures. She sees core attributes, the shaping impact of history, and patterns that emerge over a lifetime. With keen insight, a warm presence, and supportive affirmation, Cheryl illuminates opportunities for clients to embrace their unique and glorious attributes; to renounce defeating and destructive patterns; to calibrate a strong and kind compass; to confidently accept freedom to live out their best ideals; and to find strength in humility and forgiveness when best efforts fail. Individuals can improve the private life of their internal world and the quality of interactions in their relational worlds. Couples benefit from sound guidance through complexities and tangles that naturally occur through efforts to create a harmonious union. Groups offer a safe encounter with kindred sojourners and a wealth of insight, wisdom, affirmation, and encouragement.
